Recently Premier Radio (which broadcasts to the London area) ran a competition to find the best religious song of 2002. A friend of a friend entered with a song she had written and which was performed by her daughter and three friends. Although it didn't win, it came high up in the running - number 5, I think - which is very creditable considering the ages of the performers: from left to right they are 11, 13, 13 and 15.
