Bromyard

Bromyard is a peaceful market town to the north of Hereford. Last year the owner of the town's art gallery commissioned a clock in memory of his father, who was also an artist and, if the clock is any indication, a bit of a character.

The clock aroused a lively debate in the town, with a number of people stoutly opposed to it on the grounds of public decency. Watch the film and see what so stirred them up.

Bromyard is also the scene of an annual "Gala" - a country fair, really. This film was shot in 2004 and gives a flavour of the events and stalls in an English country show.
