Tangwick Haa Museum

There was a striking model of a peat hag in this fascinating little museum and I went to the desk to make some comment and enquiry. The woman behind the desk kindly came and answered my question, but as she talked she let drop that she was the person who had made the model! I picked her up on this and she said that she had also made another model, of a farm house, which had won first prize in the Voe Show and was now on display upstairs.

I went up the stairs and was indeed impressed with this other model and Eileen and her daughter kindly took it down from the high shelf where it resides so that I could photograph it - and so that she could remove the roof and show that the interior was just as detailed as the exterior!

She really is a most talented and artistic lady!
