Naples

"See Naples and die!" someone or other is supposed to have exclaimed. I think he (or she) had in mind that the city and its surroundings were so beautiful that after you had see it there was nothing else for which to live.

Today, alas, the words have taken on a horribly literal meaning, because if the criminals don't get you the piles of rotting rubbish will, and if you survive those, then either the traffic or the food will surely prove your undoing.

Which is a shame, because Naples has some great things going for it, as Dawn Jones reminds us in our first film.
