Travel to Jerusalem

In this film Dawn Jones describes some of the sights that every tourist to Jerusalem should try to see. Unfortunately the Israel Museum is closed at present and will remain so until 2011 - and the curators haven't had the intelligence to put the archaeological highlights on display. Instead there is a temporary exhibition of papier mache masks!

The Dome of the Rock is only open for two hours in the morning and two in the afternoon and the queues to get in are so long that you really need to arrive a minimum of an hour before opening time - and once in, you are not allowed in any of the buildings, including the famous Dome.

Although both attractions are well worth seeing, there is no point in even trying until the authorities manage to get their acts together.
