Some time ago we made a film about Saffron Walden and its ancient turf maze. A recent visit to Cambridgeshire turned up another turf maze, one of which I had not previous heard. Unlike the Saffron Walden example, the history of this one is well known!

Anyone who lives in the Cambridge area or who is visiting there might wish to pop out to Hilton, a charming little village with some fascinating oddments of history attached to it. You could even picnic on the village green, if you had a mind to!

The "More info" option takes you to a book about Scott's final journey to the Antarctic, but you'll have to watch the film to discover why that is relevant to a charming Cambridge village!
